It's been so long that we haven't heard anything about James Cameron's Avatar franchise. It been a decade that first Avatar movie we have seen in theaters, but now fans are extremely hoping that this year they will definitely going to see the second part or sequel of Avatar 2. As James Cameron's planned four sequels for the Avatar franchise and just because of Covid-19 pandemic and government restricted lockdown we are unable to see them in theaters and the releasing date running in delays. But the wait is over and the sequel is expected to be out soon in the theaters.

Avatar 2 Release Date: When we are able to watch most anticipated James Cameron Avatar 2 in theaters?
As per news, the original date of releasing Avatar 2 was 2014. But due to addition of three more sequels James Cameron have to postpone the date. As he got busy in working on other sequels and waiting for new technology which led to major delay.
In September 2020, James Cameron said in interview that they have 100% completed the Avatar 2 and around 95% done with Avatar 3. But why we haven't seen Avatar 2 in theater? The most current delay on releasing the Avatar 2 is caused by Covid-19 pandemic.
Having pushed back so many times, now Avatar 2 is finally has a date of release and we are once again going to experience the beauty of the Pandora on December 16, 2022. Interestingly, the same day December 16, 2022 another big budget movie from DC, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom going to be release. They both big budget movie share the same date of release and this year 2022 is the best year for Avatar and DC fans.
