Reduce saturated fats: Low density lipoprotein (LDP) cholesterol which is also known as bad cholesterol primarily found in red meat and full fat dairy products. By reducing the consumption of red meat and full fat dairy products we can reduce the level of "bad cholesterol".

Eliminate Tran fats: Trans fat which is labeled as "partially hydrogenated vegetable oil" on food packets increase the overall cholesterol levels in our body.FDA has banned the usage of partially hydrogenated vegetable oil from Jan 01, 2021.

Omega 3 fatty acids: Omega 3 fatty acids don't affect the LDl but it has other heart healthy benefit like reducing BP. Salmon, flaxseeds, Mackerel, Walnut are good source of omega 3 fatty acid.

Soluble fiber: It reduces the absorption of cholesterol into your bloodstream. It is found in such food like kidney beans, sprout, apple, pears, sprout, Brussels and oatmeal etc.
