6. Manushi Chillar in Year 2017
Haryana Manushi Chillar was crowned Miss World after seventeen year of Priyanka Chopra i. e in 2017. She is medical graduate and a trained Kuchipudi dancer. She has been trained by legendary dancers Raja and Radha Reddy and Kaushalya Reddy. She also attended National school of drama. She participated in Miss World title after winning the Miss India title in 2017. After winning the crown she appeared in many tv commercials and soon she is going to be debut in bollywood too. She is part of the initiative "Project Shakti". Where she spread the awareness about the menstrual hygiene.
5. Priyanka Chopra in Year 2000
Priyanka won the Miss World title in 2000. Priyanka winning India becomes the second country who won this title consecutively two years after UK only. Who won this title consecutively in 1964 and 1965.
After winning the crown she debut in Bollywood in 2003. She is an Indian actress, singer, film producer , philanthropist .She released her singing album in 2017. She is one the highest paid actress in Indian film industry and most popular celebrity in India. She debut in Hollywood through Baywatch. She also plays a role in American television series Quantico.
She has won many awards for her acting but in 2016 she was received Padma Shree award for her contribution in Indian film industry. In 2017 she received Dadasahed Phalke Phalke Award in 2017.She has won Filmfare award for best actress too. She has appointed as the national and Global UNICEF goodwill Ambassador for child rights in and 2016 respectively. In 2018 Priyanka chopra married to the American singer-songwriter Nick Jonas.
4. Yukta Mookhey in Year 1999
She was the fourth Indian lady to won this title. She won Miss World title in 1999 at that time she was just 22 year old. She was born in Sindhu family. Apart from studying Zoology, she has a degree in computer science and a trained classical dancer as well. She married to prince Tuli- a new York based businessman in 2008.
3. Daina Hayden: In Year 1997
She is from an Anlgo Indian family , she worked as event manager and later as public relationship officers where she used to manage the career of the popular singers. Daina was theonly Miss World Title holder to win three titles in Miss world including Miss World Aisa-Oceana,Miss Photogenic and spectacular swimwear. She won the "Femina Miss India" title in 1997. After that she won title of Miss World in 1997 for India. She appeared in many tv commercials and movies after crowned this titled. In 2008 she participated in Big Boss show. She is author of book "A beautiful truth". This deals with personality development and confidence building.
2. Aishwarya Rai Bacchan In Year 1994
After 28 year India won the Miss World title again as Aishwarya Rai Bacchan was crowned Miss World in 1994 at Sun city South Africa.
Aishwarya started her career as model in her college, she was first runner up in Miss India beauty pageant thereafter she participated in Miss World title and won the crown for India.
She forayed in TV commercials bollywood and Hollywood after winning the title. Mani Ratnam movie Iruvar was her debut movie. Later she got married with Junior Bacchan i.e Abhishek Bacchan.
She was awarded with Padam Shree in 2009 by Government of India. She was the first ever Indian actor who became the part of Jury at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in 2003.
A wax statue of her is also placed in Madam Tussaud Wax Museum.
1. Retia Faria in Year 1943
Retia Faria was born on 23rd August 1943 to Goan parent's in Mubai. is the first Indian woman who won the Title in 1966. She became the first Indian lady to win any international beauty pageant. She was also honored with Title Best in swimsuit and Best in evening wear. She received many film offers from bollywood but she refused and chooses to continue her medical studies. After completing her MBBS she moved to the UK for further studies. She lives in Dublin with her husband David Powell.
