This is an American superhero TV show, which is devolved by Salim Akil and produced by Robert West. The first season was premiered on January 16, 2018 on the CW channel. The second season of the show was released on octobmer, 2018 and the third season was premiered on 2019. The fourth season of the show was released on 2021. Each season has 13 to 16 episodes with duration of 40 minutes each. Black lighting is based on the character with the same name which was created by tony Isabella and Trevor Von Eden in DC comic.
The series followed the story of an American superhero Jefferson pierce, which has superpower to save the world from bad people after his retirement; he still tries to defeat the crimes in the city. The show is also shows the social concern about society problem.

The fourth season needs to be considered as final season of the series. The cancellation of season 5 comes as shock to audience as they are expecting season 5. The fourth season storyline didn't mean to be final outcome of the show. After sharing the news fans are really sad and need to know the reason behind that.

In the final season, we have seen Jefferson is trying to defeat Tobias Whale. Also we can see how Jefferson is being trapped in a coffin but he managed to escape by harnessing his powers.
After Jefferson is free, he then kills Tobias. He thrown out of window and stabbed in the chest and then he electrocute him which kills him. At the end of season 5, Jefferson states that he is retiring as s superhero after Tobiaas has been killed. Later Jefferson after his retirement gives his super hero responsibility to his daughters and Grace Choi. Not only has he, Gambi also revealed that he is retiring as well. While Jefferson and Lynn announced that they will re married.
Also it is shown that after Lala comes out of his cement prison, he finds out Tobias dead body and that is a wrap.
