What parents must know about their child's personality

When children are little their parents and family members start giving their opinion about children personality. Many parents feel their children are shy or introvert or some feel their children are easy going and extrovert.

While these personality traits helps parents for better upbringing of their child. It takes time for developing child true personality. As said, good understanding of child personality at early stage may help parents for using right technique for raising their child.

Since childhood, parents may have a clue about their child personality, like some infant crave early while others want flexibility. As per research and psychologist name early clues as temperament.

People who tend to display negatiuve traits like guilt, anger, anxiety; stress and depression face difficulty in their day to day activity. People with high levels of neuroticism generally respond poor to stress.

5. Extrovert

These people have high energy levels and enjoy being around other people unlike introvert who like being by themselves.

How parents can adapt to their child's different personalities

Every child is different from others strength of a child's could be a weakness of another child's.

A few tips parents can use to adapt are:

1. Study your child's personality.

The best way to understand child personality is to observe his/her behavior. Try to understand the activities they enjoy, understand their energy level, tolerance to frustration and their reaction to changes.

2. Appreciate their individuality.

It is hard to accept for people that their child is different from what they expected. Mostly parents throw their wishes on child to accept, better to accept their personality as it is.

3. Show empathy

It is important to show some empathy to your child's like and dislike and find ways to avoid conflicts and find a solution to solve any conflicts arise.

4. Separate your needs

People needs may be different from their child's like and dislike, some parents are extrovert and their child is like introvert. It is best to adopt your child as an individual and respect their choices.

5. Advocate for your child

There are many people who advocate child's actions and personality, better avoid them. When someone judge your child, it is important people feel their child comfortable their and maintain trust of child.

How to test your child's reaction

The below five traits are levels on how your child reacts to routines, familiarity and other things. Each of below levels is present in every child, only difference is how they expressed.

1. The intensity of reaction

Many children react a lot while some reacts none. Some children shout in excitement or when they are happy, while some throwing things when they are angry.

  • Try to engage your child in other activities that encourage them.
  • Keep doing things to generate attention like music, dance and dramatic voice.
  • Make your child active.
