1. Mehrangarh fort
This fort is famous for history and legends. The fort has mark of cannonball attacks on the armies of Jaipur on its 2nd gate. This fort is also famous for latticed windows, carved panels.
2. Khejarla fort
The 400 year old fort is situated in rural city of Jodhpur, now converted into hotel. This fort is an example of Rajput architure. The visitors love to see the red stone monument and latticework and beautiful jharokas.
3. Umaid bhawan palace.
This palace was built by Maharaja Umaid Singh in 1929, It was the only palace builds in 20th century. It took 16 years to build the palace, by hv lanchester a British architect. This palace builds with stone and marble it is a mix of western art and styles. This is also known as one of the largest private homes in the world.
4. Moti Mahal
This Mahal was built by royal families for helding their audience. The hall is famous for glass windows. Also the mahal was enabled the 5 nooks, so that queen can listen the proceedings happened in sringar chowki.
5. Sheesh Mahal
The mahal situated in the compound of Meharan fort. As the name says it is made of glass. This mahal walls are made with mirrors work along with ceiling and the floors. It has also religious painting in the plaster.
6. Phool Mahal
As the name suggest, the Phool mahal or Phool hall is the most expensive hall from all. The mahal was the pleasure dome for the maharaja.
7. Chamunda Mataji Temple
It was Rao Jodha's favorite goddess, so she builds the temple in Meharan fort since then the fort turned into a place for worship thereafter locals were allowed to visit the temple and worship the goddess chamunda Mata. Till now, the goddess remains the Devi of royal family.
8. Ranisar Padamsar
The Ranisar Lake was built on orders of Rao jodha's wife, queen Jasmade hadi. The Padamsar Lake was built on orders by queen of Padmini or Rao Ganga, daughter of rana sanga of Mewar. Both lakes are adjacent to each other and were built in 1459.
9. Jodhpur Government Museum
The museum is located in the Umaid garden. It has a good collection of armoury, textiles, local art and crafts, paintings, manuscripts and images of Jain tirthankaras. For wild life lovers there is zoo nearby.
10. Jaswant thada
This memorial was built in 19th centaury to give tribute to leader Jaswant Singh. Jaswant Singh was ruler of Jodhpur, who invested a lot in the state, he reduce the level of crime, subdue dacoits, built railways and hard work on raising the economy of mar war.
The Jaswant thada is managed by the government and is open to people. Various concerts are being organized in jaswant hada such as music and rajasthani folk festival.
11. Ghanta Ghar
The Ghanta ghar is also known clock tower of rajasthan, situated in the busiest areas of Jodhpur, the sadar bazaar. The sadar bazaar is famous for purchasing rajasthani textiles, miniatures, marble inlay work and traditional silver jewellery.
12. Mahamandir Temple
Mahamandir is situated on mandore road. The temple is an example of architectural wonder, with detailed designs of various postures of yoga.
13. Mandaleshwar Mahadev
The temple was built by mandal north in ad 923. The temple walls are painted with lord Shiva and goddess parvati. This is oldest shrines in the Jodhpur.
14. Sardar Samand Lake and Palace
This lake was built by Maharaja Umaid in 1933 as hunting lodge. It remains the royal family favorite houses for collecting African trophies and original watercolour painting. The lake is house of various local yellow pigeon and Himalayan griffon.
15. Masuria Hills
This garden is located on top of the Masuria hill in the middle of Jodhpur. It is also popular because it has a temple of baba ramdev where devotees come for pray.
16. Shastri Circle
This is the circle where traffic goes roundabout. In day time the circle seems to be busy as normal, but in night it attracts the locals with lights and fountains.
17. Mandore
Mandore is the ancient capital of Marwar. This area has a historical importance because of monuments of Jodhpur former rulers. Despite of monuments shape this place is a good example of Rajasthan architecture.
18. Kailana Lake
This is an artificial lake, famous for picnic spot in locals. Boating facilities provided by R.T.D.C. in this lake.
19. Machiya Safari Park
This park is far 1 km away from Kailana Lake. It offers watching points for animal lovers such as deer, hare, monkeys, wild cats etc. the park also has a strong view of sunset.
20. Somnath temple
The temple was built by the Gujarat king Kumarpal in 1920. It has many smaller temples of god and goddess.
21. Balsamand Lake
This lake is 5 km away from Jodhpur, was made to supply water to mandore. Now the lake is home of birds and peacock.
22. Guda Village
This village is home of bisnoi society, antelopes and black buck are also spotted here.
23. Mehrangarh fort and museum
Mehrangarh fort is one of the largest forts in Rajasthan. It has museum which becomes popular due to artistic and cultural history. The museum also participated in many international exhibitions and exhibits the heritage of Mewar.
