Bikaner is one of the earlier established cities of Rajasthan. It was establishes by Rao Bikaji in 1488. It is situated at the northern region of the state. It is famous for its forts, camels and Karni Mata Temple. Bikaner also known as "Camel County".

Bikaner is one of famous tourism place in Rajasthan. Bikaner is main center to one of the only two models of the biplane which were used by the British during World War I. They were represented by the British to Maharaja Ganga Singh, then ruler of the city. Junagarh Fort

It was built by Emperor Akbar general Raja Rai Singh in 1593 AD. Red sandstone and marble were used during the construction of this fort.

Architecture of balconies, courtyard, windows mesmerize you. Karan Mahal, Anup Mahal, Chandra Mahal, Phool Mahal are attraction of Junagarh fort.

It's a fabulous blend of Mughal, Gujrati and Rajput architecture.

Karni Mata Temple

Neither its famous for its location nor for its architecture, but it is famous for inhabit of more than 25000 rats roaming freely in the temple complex.

This temple is devoted to the Karni Mata which is believed to be incarnation of Goddess Durga. This temple was built by Maharja Ganga Singh

Gajner Palace

Gajnar Palace situated at the bank of lake. It is used to be a hunting vacation lodge for the royal family of Bikaner. Palace was built by Maharja Gagna Singh. It is located in the mid of the forest. Antelopes , Black Bucks, Blue Bull, Chinkaran and Deer can be sighted from there.

Lallgarh Palace

This beautiful palace was constructed by Maharaja Ganga Singh in 20Th century. Some part of the palace now converted into Hotel and museum

There is a library that has collection of manuscripts printed on plaques of silver, gold and copper.

Rampuria Haveli

Bikaner has many havelis but Rampuria haveli is one of the famous haveli of Bikaner. It was built by the rich merchants of the Bikaner. You can see the impact of Mughal and Rajput architecture in its construction.

National Research center on camel

Research center on camel is only research center on camel in India. It is a breeding nursery for the camels. It has more than 230 camels with three different breed. You can taste the different product manufactured from camel milk. It also has small museum which educate us about distinct breed of camels.

Shri Laxminath Temple

 It is a temple of lord Vishnu and Goddess Laxmi.  It is very oldest and famous temple of Bikaner. It is made of marble and red stone.

Bhandasar Jain Temple

This temple was built by jain merchant Mr Bhandasa Oswal in 16th century.

It is dedicated to the fifth Tirthankar, Sumtinath . It is said that instead of water for the motor 4000Kg Ghee was used. It has three floors. It is beautified with yellow stone craving and colorful painting.

Gajner Wildlife Sanctuary        

This park used to be a hunting place for the royal family of Bikaner. Later this park was given the status of sanctuary. It is 23 km from Bikaner city. This place is full of flora and fauna. You can sight the various wild animals here like wild boar, black buck etc.

Kodamdeshwar Temple

Rao Bikaji , The emperor of Bikaner built this temple . It is famous for asymmetrical structure. You want be able to find the proper structure with room or doors. This temple is dedicated to Lord Bahirav, who is considering being a form of Lord Shiva. Earlier Rao Bikaji wants to establish the city nearby this temple but later he chose other locations for establishment of Bikaner city. It is 24 km far away from Bikaner city.

Sur Sagar Lake

This manmade lake was constructed by Maharaja Sur Singh to curb the issue of water shortage .It is one of the visited place in Bikaner where you can not only take the pleasure of sightseeing but also enjoy the boat ride with your love ones too.

Laxmi Niwas Palace

Laxmi Niwas Palace used to be resident of Maharaja Ganga Singh. It was built by British architect Sir Samueal Swinton Jacobin 1902.Now this palace has been converted into luxury hotel. By staying there you can feel the Indo Saracenic style of architecture.

Nagaur

It is located between the royal city of Bikaner and Jodhpur. This town has several sightseeing locations Like Akbari Mahal,Bhagat Singh Palace etc.

Khimsar

Khimser is one of the lesser known place to visit near Bikaner.Khimsar has few attractions like Khimsar Dune Village and Dhawa doli wildlife Sanctuary.
