01- Ranthambore National Park

It was established as Sawai Madhopur Game Sanctuary by the Indian government in 1955.Later it was converted into Tiger project reserve in 1973 and in November 1980 it was declared National Park. It shared its boundaries with Keladevi sanctuary and Sawai man Singh sanctuary. It is spread over more than 282 sq. km. Ranthambore National park is known for Royal Bengal tigers living in their natural habitat.

It is also famous for heritage sites, rare type of trees and animals roaming freely during the day time. The park offer safari rides to the tourist, which can be booked to the official website or govt. counter. Only two slots of safari are available in day i.e. 6:30 am and 2:30 pm. Ranthambore fort is also one of the tourist hotspot located in National Park. There are three temples inside the fort which is dedicated to Lord Ganesha, Lord Shiva and Lord Ram.

Ranthambore national park is easily connected with road, rail. Jaipur airport is 160 km far away from park and 11 km far away from Sawai madhopur railway station. Ideal time for animal sighting is Oct to April.

2- Keoladeo National Park

Keoladeo Nationak  park is also popularly known as Bharatpur National Park. It is one the UNESCO world heritage site. Bird lover from all over the world visit the park to sighting of different species of birds.

Nearly 250 species of birds inhabit there. Avifauna and Siberian cranes migrate during the cold session. Nominal entry charges for touresit.

This park has well demarcated path where tourist either hike or bike. Rickshaw also available for hire. Apart from birds there are golden jackel,hyena,samnhar,blackbuck,wild boar and large pythons. The park is open from sunrise to sunset. By road, it takes 5 hours from jaipur and rail services connected bharatpur from merro cities. from bharatpur railway station the park is about 5 km.

03- Sariska Tiger Reserve

The reserve is situated in the aravali mountain range, spreading  over 800 sq.km. covered with forests ,grassland and rocky mountain areas of Rajasthan. The park is also known as Sariska Wildlife Sanctuary.

The park has variety of animals like Bengal tiger, nilgai, cheetah, wild boars, sambars, Indian leopard and monkeys. The park is also the habitat of birds like kingfisher, Indian peafowl, golden backed woodpecker etc.

Sariska has many other places to visit for tourist like Bhangarh village, Who is famous for its haunted location, Kankwari fort, Neelkanth temple and Hanuman ji temple. Sariska palace used to be a hub for hunting for royal family. The park is 60 km far away from capital city Jaipur, timing for park to open is 6am to 3.30pm. The Park fee is different from locals and foreign. 

04- Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary

Mount Abu is a hill station located in the aravali mountain range which is oldest mountain in india. Many herbal medicinal plants are found here. The park has large variety of orchids as well as bamboo forests. In mount abu jackals,hyena and common languor ,mongoose found here.

The best time to visit the park is in winter months, park remains open for the visitors from 9am to 5.30p. Facility of Jeep safari is also available for tourists. It is about 500 km away from capital city Jaipur and it takes nearly 7 hours by road. 

05-Desert National Park

This national park is situated in Thar Desert spread in 3162 km. The park is popular for its wildlife species and sand dunes, craggy rocks and a source of vegetation. This park has animals like blackbuck, wolf, desert fox and birds like larks, eagles, bee eaters and cranes.

The park offers jeep safari for tourist as fee 100 Inr per person. The best time to visit park is November to March with timings of 10 am to 5pm. This park is about 40 km away from Jaisalmer by road. 

06-Darrah National Park

The park is located at 50km from Kota spread an area of 250sq.km. This natural reserve gives the chance to visit the different species of animals and birds. The park also has adventure spots to experience. Park offers jungle safaris inside park.

It has many animals like panther,wolf,deer,sambhar and sloth bear and chinkara.  The good time to visit park is October to march with timing 10am to 5pm. The park has nominal chafges tobe paid, the park is in distance of 50km from kota.

07-Sambhar Lake Wildlife Sanctuary

The sanctuary is located in Nagaur and Jaipur district. It is spread in area of 190sq.km. It is the best national park in Rajasthan and biggest saline lake in india. The park has various animals like black headed gulls and flamingoes and species of water birds.

The best time to visit park is from October to March. The park is 118 far away from Jaipur airport and sambhar salt lake station is nearby to the sanctuary.
